Highway Worship Center of the Assemblies of God is a fellowship of friendly people seeking to continue growth in loving God & loving people. We want to be a church where people can BELONG, BELIEVE, and BECOME.

On Sunday mornings, we come together for our worship service at 10:15 a.m.
We have Children’s Church during our Sunday morning service for children ages 5 – 12 years. The children learn applications of the Bible through a variety of activities.

Our church family is made up of people from various cultures, ages, and hometowns. This variety is reflected in our services which consist of the preaching of God’s word, often interspersed with media tools, a mix of traditional & contemporary music, and translation of the service into Spanish.

Although important, singing, worship, and preaching are meaningless without the presence of God. Therefore, we are committed to create an atmosphere of welcoming the Lord’s presence. We desire the move of the Holy Spirit in our services and will yield to Him and His ministry. The Holy Spirit is welcome to manifest His gifts among us.

While enjoying spirit-filled worship, we give God the praise, glory, & honor that He alone is worthy of. While some pray silently & express little outward emotion, others will express their prayers and worship of God aloud and more demonstrative. Raised hands are common in our worship as an outward sign of praise and surrender to God’s will. Sincere expressions of worship are welcome during our worship.

There may be times of prayer for individuals with special needs. Often they will be anointed with oil.

Sometimes there will be a call to commitment following the sermon. Deep emotions may or may not be expressed at the altar. Everyone who calls on the Lord in faith will receive something special from Him.

Communion is observed the first Sunday of the month. This observance of the Lord’s Supper is open to all who have accepted Jesus as Savior. This commemoration reflects on the loving sacrifice of Jesus during which we remember His suffering, His death, & His glorious resurrection.

Water baptism is held for individuals who have made a conscious decision to accept Christ’s offer of salvation. We baptize believers by immersing them in water. Baptism serves as a public testimony signifying the death of the individual’s sinful past and their new birth in Jesus Christ.
